Neal Kay has not only taught me how to be an electrophysiologist, but also how to be a compassionate and caring physician. I am indebted to him for his influence on my professional career. To this day, I still emulate his wonderful attitude towards patients, colleagues, and co-workers.
Neal Kay was a brilliant clinician, teacher, and investigator. Rarely have I seen someone who excelled in all three roles. His colleagues and fellows were always amazed by his tireless energy and confidence in caring for complex patients. He demonstrated the importance of practicing skillfully but with compassion and care for all patients. I am grateful he provided me the opportunity to train under him. I try to honor him by practicing with the highest quality and compassion I can.
