The Awards Subcommittee requested the assistance of members and nonmembers alike in nominating the 2008 recipients of the following recognition awards: Distinguished Scientist (basic or clinical), Distinguished Teacher, Distinguished Service and Pioneer in Cardiac Pacing and Electrophysiology. Award recipients will be recognized in May at Heart Rhythm 2008 in San Francisco, California. The deadline for award nominations was Monday, September 24, 2007. Questions should be directed to awards@HRSonline.org.
The Awards Subcommittee met in November to consider candidates and recommend recipients to the Board of Trustees for approval. Award recipients will be recognized in May at Heart Rhythm 2008 in San Francisco, California.
In making your recommendations, please be aware of the following requirements:
- Only Heart Rhythm Society members are eligible to be nominated for the Distinguished Scientist Award and the Distinguished Teacher Award.
- Both Heart Rhythm Society members and non-members are eligible to be nominated for the Distinguished Service Award and the Pioneer in Cardiac Pacing and Electrophysiology Award.
- The Distinguished Service Award recognizes outstanding service to the Society exclusively.
- Members of the Governance Committee and the Awards Subcommittee are ineligible to be nominated.
