Heart Rhythm Society Recognition Awards
Each year the Heart Rhythm Society identifies and recognizes outstanding contributions to the field and to the Society. These prestigious awards reflect the very best of who and what we are.
Please help the Awards Subcommittee identify the most qualified candidates by participating in nominations for the following awards:
- Distinguished Scientist Award (basic or clinical)
- Distinguished Teacher Award
- Distinguished Service Award
- Pioneer in Cardiac Pacing and Electrophysiology Award

The Awards Subcommittee will meet in November to consider candidates and recommend recipients to the Board of Trustees for approval. Award recipients will be recognized in May at Heart Rhythm 2011 in San Francisco, CA.
In making your nominations, please be aware of the following:
- Any Heart Rhythm Society member in good standing may submit a nomination
- Only Heart Rhythm Society members are eligible to be nominated for the Distinguished Scientist Award and the Distinguished Teacher Award
- Both Heart Rhythm Society members and non-members are eligible to be nominated for the Distinguished Service Award and the Pioneer in Cardiac Pacing and Electrophysiology Award
- The Distinguished Service Award recognizes outstanding service to the Society exclusively
- Members of the Governance Committee and the Awards Subcommittee are ineligible to be nominated
- Award nominations remain active for three years after the date of the initial submission; if you have submitted a nomination since 2007, your nomination is on file and there is no need to resubmit
