AF Pocket Guide

The Heart Rhythm Society has developed the Practical Rate and Rhythm Management of Atrial Fibrillation Pocket Guide.

The Heart Rhythm Society, as part of its AF Disease State Initiative*, has developed a pocket guide, Managing the Patient with Atrial Fibrillation. This Pocket Guide was updated in April 2012.

The pocket guide, edited by Stephen R. Shorofsky, MD, PhD, was adapted from the from the latest guidelines from ACC, ESC, and HRS on the management of patients with atrial fibrillation. This quick reference guide is intended to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with AF.

The following information is included in the pocket guide:

  • Epidemiology Pathophysiology and related conditions
  • Minimum evaluation of AF
  • Acute treatment
  • Long-term Treatment
