Program Overview
The HRS Sprint Fidelis Audio Conference was a success!
This educational audio conference, hosted by the Heart Rhythm Society, provided electrophysiologists and allied professionals with important information and strategies for working with key patient groups that have Sprint Fidelis® leads implanted. (Learn more about Medtronic's decision to voluntarily suspend its Sprint Fidelis® defibrillation leads and the Heart Rhythm Society's response.)
More than 350 sites participated in the November 1 audio conference on the Sprint Fidelis® lead issue.
Moderated by Society President, Dr. Bruce Lindsay, the audio conference featured individual presentations from an expert panel. The panelists presented on a variety of topics and provided a summary of their personal treatment recommendations based on their experience in their respective areas of expertise.
A 45-minute Question & Answer period followed the panel discussion. The Question & Answer period was formatted in a fashion similar to talk radio, where participants were able to enter themselves into a queue, and were called on to directly inquire with the panelists and ask the questions most pertinent to them. Questions could also be submitted via e-mail.
