ABIM CCEP Board Review Session
Program Overview
- Module: 2010 Update in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology (Module B3-K, Version 10-2)
- Chair: Kenneth A. Ellenbogen, MD, FHRS
During this session, Kenneth A. Ellenbogen, MD, FHRS explored 25 case-based questions from the ABIM's Self Evaluation Process for the 2010 Update in Clinical Electrophysiology (Module B3-K, Version 10-2). At the end of the program, participants answers were submitted to ABIM and receive Maintenance of Certification (MOC) credits for the module.
Course Format
Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Learning Sessions provided a collaborative environment for ABIM Board Certified physicians to complete medical knowledge modules and earn MOC credit. Led by Kenneth A. Ellenbogen, MD, FHRS, an ABIM Board Certified physician, this interactive session allowed participants to work with other physician colleagues and develop consensus answers to module questions. The discussion was supplemented with an audience response system (ARS) that allowed for interactive learning and in-depth coverage of exam content areas. The ARS facilitated audience participation and enabled the participants to respond to questions representative of those found on the ABIM exam, as well as receive feedback in real time. Particular emphasis was placed on analysis of complex intracardiac tracings.
Learning Objectives
- Satisfy a self-evaluation (SEP) requirement for ABIM MOC program for CCEP
- Develop effective strategies for ABIM's secure examination in CCEP
- Develop strengths in clinical decision making and stay current in content areas relevant to CCEP
At the conclusion of this activity, you should be able to:
- Identify the correct answers for the 2010 Update in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology (Module B3-K, Version 10-2)
- Complete the Self-Evaluation of Medical Knowledge module to facilitate earning points forward ABIM's MOC requirements
- Navigate the ABIM Board certification/recertification process with respect to Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology (CCEP)
