Program Information — Introducing a New Format!
EP and Device Therapy for Allied Professionals: Basics and Beyond is a one-day program designed to discuss current practices and trends within the heart rhythm community.
The "Basics and Beyond" theme to this program emphasizes the adaption of a dual educational track catering to both "novice" and "advanced" allied professionals. The program's educational pathways are customized based off the individual tracks and boast a robust collection of didactic sessions, panel discussions and hands-on opportunities, providing attendees with a comprehensive educational overview of how best to manage arrhythmia patients.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of the advanced level program, participants were be able to:
- Identify emerging device technologies for managing arrhythmia issues in complex patients
- Discuss the integrated mapping approach for ablation systems
- Plan a strategy for periprocedural management of complex patients with a variety of device and medication challenges
- Apply and analyze advanced programming algorithms for optimizing the outpatient management of patients with implanted cardiac devices
- Describe regulatory and health policy issues related to EP and device patient care
- Recognize the best outpatient follow-up and diagnostic methods

The Heart Rhythm Society is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians and by the New York State Nurses Association to provide continuing education for nurses and nurse practitioners.
