Program Summary
Dr. Eric N. Prystowsky presents a series of cases that review basic principles and physiology of AVNRT as well as presents several challenging cases. He provides important practical information about how to approach the ablation of these patients. The three cases included a patient with AVNRT with a prior failed RF ablation who underwent cryoablation at a superior site for retrograde fast pathway modification. A second case of AVNRT was presented, where the patient had block to the atrium and block to the ventricle. The final case demonstrated a patient with Ebstein's anomaly, an atriofascicular pathway and AVNRT. For each case, Dr. Prystowsky discussed the practical approaches to ablation, emphasizing the critical importance of physiology.
