Member
     This category is open to physicians, scientists, nurses, technicians, and other allied professionals whose careers demonstrate a commitment to cardiac electrophysiology (EP) and/or pacing:

• Physician — Individuals with a MD, DO, or Ph.D. degree (or its equivalent) and an interest in pacing and electrophysiology as evidenced by work in the field, original contributions, and attendance at scientific meetings related to electrophysiology
• Scientist —Individuals with a Ph.D. degree (or its equivalent) who hold a faculty position or the equivalent in an academic institution, with an interest in the field
• Allied Health Professional —  Professional healthcare providers who are not physicians or scientists (e.g., nurses, medical assistants, technicians, therapists, etc.) and are actively involved in the technical aspects of cardiac pacing and electrophysiology

Fellow
     The Fellow category is available to those individuals whose careers demonstrate an extensive commitment to cardiac electrophysiology, pacing and the Heart Rhythm Society. Learn more about the membership dues, qualifications and requirements to become a Fellow of the Heart Rhythm Society.

Fellow status recognizes members who have realized significant professional achievement, provided exceptional service and are prominent in the field of cardiac arrhythmia research and treatment. Affiliate
     Individuals with a MD, DO, or Ph.D. degree (or its equivalent) who are enrolled in an approved electrophysiology or cardiology fellowship training program

• Physician-in-Training — MD enrolled in ACGME training program or equivalent.
• Scientist-in-Training — Graduate student or postdoctoral fellow actively involved in research training.

Industry
     Individuals employed by industry who are directly involved in education, research, engineering, and/or corporate leadership. Learn more about the membership dues, qualifications and requirements for the Industry category.

Emeritus
     The Emeritus category is for Heart Rhythm Society members who have reached the age of 65 or have retired from active practice. Please contact the membership department for details.
