Program Information
Participants of this complimentary program explored atrial fibrillation (AF) including:
- Mechanisms and epidemiology
- Monitoring and screening modalities
- Antiarrhythmic, anticoagulation and catheter ablation treatment options
Attendees also reviewed best practices in patient management, innovations in AF management and how to manage the psychology of living with AF. Specific focus was given to the current ACC/AHA/HRS management guidelines for patients with atrial fibrillation.

Upon completion of this program, participants were be able to:
- Describe one possible mechanism of atrial fibrillation
- Describe the various treatment modalities of AF and discuss when one particular therapy might be chosen over another
- Discuss a patient management scenario based upon the current treatment guidelines
