titlelines AF Awareness PSA
The Heart Rhythm Society has created its first-ever public service announcement (PSA), “A-Fib Feels Like,” intended to build awareness among patients and the public on the symptoms of the disease. Please help distribute this important message.

As part of its AF Awareness Campaign, the Heart Rhythm Society has developed a public service announcement (PSA), "A-Fib Feels Like." These 10-second and 30-second ads are beginning to air on select local television and radio stations across the U.S.

Order your complimentary 30 second "A-Fib Feels Like" Public Service Announcement DVD! Please complete and submit the online order form.

Often patients struggle to explain what they are feeling, so this PSA helps patients relate their symptoms to the symptoms of AF, which include heart palpitations (feeling like your heart is racing, pounding or fluttering), a pulse that is faster than normal or changing between fast and slow. As the population of the United States and other countries ages, projections are that more than 5.6 million adults in the next 40 years will be diagnosed with AF, which accounts for approximately one-third of hospitalizations for cardiac rhythm disturbances.

Help Publicize Our New AF Awareness PSA!

You can help us distribute this important message by including the PSA on the website where you work, on your own blog or your social media profiles. Many Heart Rhythm Society members also have strong relationships with local media, acting as expert commentators on health news, writing guest columns and more, so if you have connections with television and/or radio affiliates in your area, please contact Kennesha Baldwin, Manager of Media & Public Relations to learn how you can help bring attention to the PSA.

Hubbard Broadcasting logoThe PSA is initially relying on donated media time for distribution; in support Hubbard Broadcasting is distributing the PSA for a period of one year to its member stations located throughout the U.S., including KSTP, KSTC, WHEC, WNYT, WDIO, KAAL and KOB. The Society will continue to pursue additional distribution opportunities for this important message.
