SCA Awareness Campaign Resources
The Society's award-winning "Apples and Oranges" campaign uses a simple analogy to educate people about the difference between a heart attack and Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA). It specifically targets heart attack survivors, who are at the highest risk for SCA, and stresses the importance of maintaining a healthy heart lifestyle and learning critical risk markers, especially their Ejection Fraction (EF).
To observe October's designation as National SCA Awareness Month, clinicians may request a complimentary resource kit, while supplies last.
Your SCA Awareness Resource kit includes:
- Apples and Oranges Poster 2'x 3' (1)— for display in waiting rooms or at events
- Apples and Oranges Tabletop Poster 8½" x 11" (1)— for display in waiting rooms or at events
- SCA Anatomy Flip Chart (1) — includes a dry erase marker for your use as you guide patients through the overview and expansive illustration collection
- Ejection Fraction Tracker (qty. 25) — What is EF, how it's tested, ability to track
- SCA Patient Brochure (qty. 25) —Overview of SCA and options for treatment aimed at patients and caregivers
