Dwight W. Reynolds, MD, FHRS is Professor and Chief of the Cardiovascular Section at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine and has also served as Chief of Ataff of the OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Highly respected nationally and internationally for his expertise in cardiac implantable electronic devices, Dr. Reynolds has given lectures on and published on topics ranging from pacemaker hemodynamics and CRT to catheter ablation and atrial fibrillation and to physician workforce issues.
Dr. Reynolds served as President for the Heart Rhythm Society from May 2006-May 2007. He has been a member of the Society since 1985 and served as chair of a number of committees including the Marketing/Membership, and Communications Committee the Program Committee, the Fellowship Training Program Directors, the Mode-Code Committee, the Finance Committee, and the Committee on the Development of Position Statements. He continues to be active in Heart Rhythm Society international activities and relationships with heart rhythm organizations around the world.
Dr. Reynolds earned his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine and did all of his post-graduate training at The University of Alabama-Birmingham. His practice at The University of Oklahoma is highly focused on implantable cardiac devices.
