| | Heart Rhythm Society Signs On to Physician Practice Expense Letter | | | | The Heart Rhythm Society (HRS) signed on to a letter from cardiovascular medical societies to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to comment on possible changes to the practice expense component of physician payments. This letter was written in response to the CMS Town Hall meeting on February 15, 2006, during which CMS outlined several scenarios for revising the methodology used to calculate practice expense payments. The letter expresses concern about the proposed revisions and recommends that CMS delay implementation of any changes in the methodology until 2008. To view the letter, please click here. | | |
