The Heart Rhythm Society's primary concern is the health and safety of the patients who have life threatening heart rhythm disorders, and to that end, works to keep its members up to date about news and information on medical device technology and pharmaceuticals for treatment of heart rhythm disorders. The Society also maintains a strong working relationship with officials at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and provides input into medical devices and pharmaceutical health care polices as they are being developed at the FDA.
