titlelines CMS Publishing 2007 PQRI Reports
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) made 2007 PQRI Final Feedback Reports available on a secure website in mid-July, 2008 and is providing information to help set up an online account.

As part of the Department of Health and Human Services transparency initiatives, eligible professionals who reported data on quality measures will receive 2007 PQRI Final Feedback Reports beginning in July, 2008. Feedback Reports will be available to each practice, identified by Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN), under which at least one eligible professional reported 2007 PQRI quality measures data.

Feedback Reports available to the practice will include information on reporting rates, clinical performance, and incentives earned by individual professionals. They will also include summary information on reporting success and incentives earned at the practice level.

Because the information included in these reports is confidential, the feedback reports will be available on a new Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) security system known as the Individuals Authorized Access to CMS Computer Services – Provider Community (IACS-PC).

Setting Up Your Online Account

In order to receive feedback reports, 2007 PQRI Participants in group practices must set up a secure online account. CMS provides Medlearn Matters SE0747  (PDF,168K) and Medlearn Matters SE0753 (PDF, 112K) to assist in setting up your account. Because the process of verifying the security official’s authorization to access the practice’s confidential information is not fully automated and can take some time, CMS recommended that practices set up an online account early to ensure they will be able access their reports as soon as they are published.

For information on setting up a secure account to obtain your feedback report and incentive payment, view the July 9, 2008 National Provider Call presentation slides (PDF, 1.5M). Streamlined Accounts for solo practioners is provided in these slides. CMS responds to account registration questions at 1 (866) 484-8049 from 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. EST. Any general questions about PQRI should be directed to your Carrier or A/B MAC.

Please do not register if you did not submit PQRI quality-measures data for 2007.
