Society Partners with FDA and Others to Hold a Think Tank Meeting on Establishing a National AF Registry Atrial Fibrillation (04/29/2009) —Ablation experts, representing professional societies, industry, government and academics met this week in Washington, DC to participate in a meeting titled: “Safety Evaluation of Atrial Fibrillation Ablation Using a Collaborative Pan-Stakeholder Critical Path Registry Model.” This “think tank” meeting is the first step toward the creation of a national registry of catheter ablations for patients with atrial fibrillation. Register Now for the AF Think Tank(04/01/2009) — The Society is partnering with other organizations to present Safety Evaluation of Atrial Fibrillation Ablation Using a Collaborative Pan-Stakeholder Critical Path Registry Model on April 27-28 at the FDA's White Oak Facility in Silver Spring, MD. This one-and-a-half day program will discuss specific areas related to AF ablation, cardiac safety and a national registry of procedures and outcomes from the academic/clinical, regulatory, industry and reimbursement perspectives.
