03/7/2008 — “Q0” (Zero) Modifier Replaces “QR” Modifier for Outpatient and Physician Claims: The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) announced that effective January 1, 2008, the “QR” modifier has been deleted and replaced with a new “Q0” (zero) modifier. The “Q0” modifier must be applied to claims with date of service on or after January 1, 2008. Learn more »
08/23/2007 — ICD Educational Webcast Q&A: The ICD Registry program educates participants on fulfillment of the program requirements by providing “Interpreting Your ICD Registry Outcomes Report Questions and Answers,” a follow-up to the August 2007 educational webcast. 06/13/2008 — Society submits comments and recommendations: The Heart Rhythm Society submitted comments on the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services' (CMS) proposed rule for fiscal year 2009 hospital inpatient prospective payment system, including highlighting the strategic direction of the ICD Registry. 03/2008 — ICD Registry selected for CMS Feasibility Testing of Registry-Based Reporting: CMS is required to select organizations for feasibility testing of registries that potentially can report quality measures to PQRI. NCDR has been selected by CMS. Learn more »
