Urge Your Legislator to Co-Sponsor S.Res. 530

The Heart Rhythm Society applauds the co-chairs of the Congressional Heart and Stroke Coalition, Senators Byron Dorgan (D-ND) and Mike Crapo (R-ID) , for introducing Senate Resolution 530 (S.Res. 530).

This resolution would establish a “National Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness Week” for the week of October 5, 2008, calling for activities around the need for more public education, research and wider access to life-saving treatments for SCA. This introduction begins to address and remedy the national lack of understanding around sudden cardiac arrest.
