On January 4th, 2006, HRS staff participated as part of the NHLBI Constituency Group, in a meeting with the National Coalition for Heart and Stroke Research and Dr. Nabel, Director of the NHLBI. The main points of discussion were FY ’07 funding issues, as well as NIH policies regarding the FY ’06 budget cuts.

NIH has issued notices concerning “NIH Financial Policy for Grant Awards - FY 2006" and “Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award (NRSA) Stipend and Other Budgetary Levels Effective for FY 2006”.  The text of the notices can be found here and here.
