titlelines NIH Calls on Scientists to Speed Public Release of Research Publications
content_line

On February 3rd, 2005, NIH announced a new policy intended to speed up the public's access to NIH-funded research publications.  This voluntary policy requests that investigators make NIH-supported research manuscripts available on a web-based archive within 12 months of publication in a peer-reviewed journal.

Please visit the NIH’s webpage on Public Access for more information, including a copy of the final policy, a FAQ and the NIH’s implementation plan.
