The annual Awards Ceremony and Presidents’ Reception was an ideal opportunity to network with colleagues, hear final remarks by Heart Rhythm Society President Richard L. Page, MD, FHRS, and welcome Douglas L. Packer, MD, FHRS, as the next Heart Rhythm Society President.

The 2010 Fellows of the Heart Rhythm Society (FHRS) members were also honored in an induction ceremony (view list of 2010 inductees).

Each year the Heart Rhythm Society identifies and recognizes outstanding contributions to the field and to the Society. Congratulations to the 2010 award recipients: Nabil E. El-Sherif, MD, Pioneer in Cardiac Pacing and Electrophysiology; David L. Hayes, MD, FHRS, CCDS, Distinguished Teacher and Yoram Rudy, Ph.D., FHRS, Distinguished Scientist.

A number of additional distinguished awards were presented and the winners of the Young Investigators Awards Competition were announced.
