The 25th Annual Fellows Course: Interpreting the Unknown Electrogram, (am program) and Pioneers of Electrogram Analysis: Shaping the Future (pm program)
Jointly sponsored by Postgraduate Institute for Medicine and Medtelligence
Supported by an educational grant provided by Bard Electrophysiology
The special 25th Annual EP Fellows Seminar promises to be a remarkable event this year, packed with expert faculty and presenting challenging cases in electrogram (EGM) analysis. Chaired by Dr. Eric Prystowsky, this one-day (7 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.) intensive course has been designed to educate participants on best practice approaches for diagnosing challenging EGMs. While the morning session will follow the traditional structure as in past years, the afternoon session will feature 10 pioneers in electrophysiology showcasing their unique contributions to the field.
EP fellows and EPs wanting more information on electrogram analysis are welcome. The Postgraduate Institute for Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 7.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Attendance is limited, please register early. A reception will follow in honor of the 25th Anniversary of this course.

Management Decisions in the Era of Advanced ICD Technology and Techniques
Jointly sponsored by Postgraduate Institute for Medicine and Medtelligence
Supported by an educational grant provided by Cameron Health
This 2-hour CME lunch symposium features 6 international experts focusing on the changing landscape of ICD implantation. Chairman Dr. David Cannom will lead the faculty in lively discussions on overcoming current and future challenges to improve ICD implantation techniques and outcomes. Topics include an update on new technology, weighing the benefits and risks of ICD implantation, reducing inappropriate shocks, and real-world ICD experience. Challenging cases will be used to focus the discussion and engage the participants. This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of Electrophysiologists, EP Fellows and EP Lab Staff, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and other allied health professionals involved in the care of patients with cardiac arrhythmias.

New Approaches to Decreasing Fluoroscopy in the EP lab
Sponsored by MediaSphere Medical, LLC
Supported by an unrestricted educational grant provided by St. Jude Medical
Complex interventional procedures, including catheter ablation and the placement of left ventricular leads for cardiac resynchronization exposes operators, staff and patients to significant risks of fluoroscopy exposure. The symposium faculty with extensive experience and expertise will address unmet clinical needs, review emerging technologies and illustrate optimal approaches that mitigate the risks associated with fluoroscopy exposure in the EP lab while increasing procedural efficiency.

Pioneering the Future: Innovations and Strategies in Electrophysiology and Clinical Cardiology CME - The 24th Annual Michel Mirowski Sudden Cardiac Death Symposium Award Presentation
Sponsored by Medscape, LLC
Supported by unrestricted educational grant provided by Boston Scientific Corporation
The Mirowski Symposium began in 1989 to honor the pioneering work of Dr. Michel Mirowski in the development of the implantable cardioverter defibrillator. The Mirowski Award for Excellence in Clinical Cardiology and Electrophysiology is given annually to recognize an individual who has made a fundamental contribution to the understanding and/or treatment of cardiac arrhythmias. This year's symposium marks the 24th presentation of the Mirowski Award and will focus on the pioneering vision and innovative strategies that will shape and advance the role of electrophysiology and clinical cardiology in 2012 and beyond.
