Led by Dr. William Stevenson and Dr. John DiMarco, and new this year, this one-day program highlights the latest developments in the recognition and diagnosis of patients at risk for Sudden Cardiac Arrest.

VT/VF Summit
SCA: The Present and the Future
Wednesday, May 14 | 8:00 a.m.– 4:00 p.m. | The Moscone Center, San Francisco, CA

Don’t miss the VT/VF Summit 2008! World-renowned faculty will update you on the latest advances in the diagnosis and management of patients with VT, VF and Sudden Cardiac Arrest. This featured Summit is a great addition to Heart Rhythm 2008, our 29th Annual Scientific Sessions.

Leaders in the field, selected for their superb teaching abilities, will provide intensive reviews of the latest developments in the recognition and diagnosis of high risk patients and their management with pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies for VT and VF. State-of-the-art mapping and ablation techniques will be highlighted with prerecorded live cases presented and discussed by experts in the field.

Interventional electrophysiologists, clinical adult and pediatric electrophysiologists, clinical cardiologists, cardiothoraic surgeons and allied professionals are encouraged to attend. Upon completion of this educational activity, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the most recent findings in the pathophysiology of VT and VF and how the electrophysiologic substrate is influenced by underlying cardiac diseases and therapies.
  • Apply appropriate pharmacological therapies for VT and VF.
  • Optimize device therapy for primary and secondary prevention of sudden death.
  • Acquire an enhanced understanding of the latest in technology and techniques for ablation of VT in a variety of conditions, including appropriate applications and limitations.
  • Acquire an enhanced understanding of pathophysiologic syndromes causing VF, including application of diagnostic modalities to identify, characterize, and treat patients at risk and to understand the strengths and limitations of these modalities.

The VT/VF Summit 2008 will take place on Wednesday, May 14, and an additional fee applies (see below). Register early — space is limited. Register online.
