Heart Rhythm 2012 offers a variety of session types and specialty tracks, allowing you to customize your educational experience to meet your needs and interests.

Case-Based Tutorials (CBT)
Teaching groups encouraging audience discussion with faculty selected cases. Selected sessions will utilize the Audience Response System (ARS).

Core Curricula (CC)
Didactic teaching sessions in all major categories that provide comprehensive, timely information relevant to the care of patients or to research.

Debates (DB)
Spirited debate sessions on controversial issues.

Experts Unplugged (EU)
Small (approximately 40 attendees), intimate lunch talks without the use of audiovisual, covering various areas of expertise. Additional fee required — see our Ticketed Functions page.

Featured Symposia (SY)
Cross discipline showcase sessions with subject matter experts.

How-To (HT)
Didactic teaching sessions on how to perform a high level clinical procedure.

Ideas on Trial (IT)
A dynamic and interactive modification of the Traditional debate session. Instead of two presenters taking the pro and con side of an issue, the actual 'idea' goes on trial.

Meet-the-Experts (ME)
Small discussion sessions that provide a scholarly exchange of information between experts and interested clinicians. Additional fee required — see our Ticketed Functions page.

Mini-Courses (MC)
Didactic courses providing in-depth updates on hot, new topics with a question and answer period to follow. Mini-course sessions are included in your Heart Rhythm 2012 registration fee, seating limited. To attend you must indicate your mini-course selection when registering.

Mini Board Review (MBR)
Held on Saturday morning, these didactic teaching sessions will review complex questions from the board exam or IBHRE exam.

Abstract Sessions: Oral (AB)/Poster (PO)/Moderated Poster (MP)/Innovators Abstract (IA)
Presentations in oral, poster and moderated poster format that provide the most up-to-date scientific research. Back by popular demand: the Innovators Abstract submission category. The Innovators abstract category allows innovative physicians and scientists to share new and novel approaches, techniques, and technologies.

Special Sessions (SP)
Includes events such as the Health Policy Town Hall Meeting, Opening Plenary Session, Late-Breaking Clinical Trials and more.

Translational Electrophysiology Sessions (TE)
The session format features a translator interpreting information for physicians and scientists.
