The statement was endorsed by the governing bodies of the European Heart Rhythm Association of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC), the Heart Rhythm Society, the Heart Failure Society of America, the American Society of Echocardiography, the American Heart Association, the European Association of Echocardiography of the ESC and the Heart Failure Association of the ESC.
