Thomas F. Deering, MD, FHRS
Dr. Deering is Chief of the Arrhythmia Center, Chairman of the Clinical Centers for Excellence and Chief Quality Officer for Piedmont Heart Institute in Atlanta. He has served in a variety of volunteer roles within HRS. His research interests are focused on defining and implementing quality initiatives in electrophysiology and cardiovascular medicine. He has served as a speaker and moderator at national and international electrophysiology and cardiology meetings. Dr. Deering earned his medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine. He completed his residency at the Yale-New Haven Hospital, his cardiology fellowship training at Boston University Medical Center and his cardiac electrophysiology fellowship at Tufts New England Medical Center.
