The 24th Annual International AF Symposium is an intensive and highly focused three-day scientific forum that brings together the world’s leading medical scientists, researchers, cardiologists and electrophysiologists to share the most recent advances in the treatment of atrial fibrillation.

The Heart Rhythm Society's Annual Board Review Course is the preferred resource for physicians seeking a comprehensive review of content focused on preparation for the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) certification and recertification examinations in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology. Board Review Course also provides preparation for the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE) exams for electrophysiology (CEPS) and device (CCDS) certification. The course is led by internationally recognized faculty members and offers attendees a chance to review the essential exam areas described in the ABIM blueprint in both didactic and case-based forms. For those not preparing for an exam, the course provides an excellent update and overview of cardiac electrophysiology.

HRS is hosting a live webinar accompanied by a Twitter chat on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 from 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. ET. HeartRhythm Editor-in-Chief Dr. Peng-Sheng Chen and Online Editor Dr. Daniel P. Morin will lead a discussion with Dr. Young Hoon Kim about his upcoming article in the December 2018 issue of HeartRhythm, “Electrical Isolation of the Left Atrial Appendage Increases the Risk of Ischemic Stroke and Transient Ischemic Attack Regardless of Post-Isolation Flow Velocity.”

This symposium is a multi-specialty cardiovascular educational symposium in North America on the frontier science of left atrial appendage. This topic is of tremendous interest in the practice of cardiovascular care. Over a period of two days, the symposium will offer very informative presentations on the anatomy, physiology and pathological aspects of the left atrial appendage along with old and new therapeutic strategies of stroke prophylaxis including cardiac devices for LAA exclusion. Presenting will be the leaders in the field with a great depth of practical expertise in the science from across the world. This symposium will address gaps in knowledge and competence through didactic lecture, panel discussions, debate and discussion of live case studies.

Save the Date: The 2019 Board Review Course will take place August 14-17, 2019. Please check back later for details.
