The Heart Rhythm Society maintains a strong voice in Washington, DC; its advocacy efforts focus on issues of critical importance to the heart rhythm specialist, scientist and allied health personnel. The Society's authored and/or endorsed scientific and clinical documents provide three main components vital to advancements in the field: analysis, discussion of current issues, and suggestions for clinical application.

Ask Congress to Permanently Fix Medicare Physician Payment
Despite the Medicare Payment amendment passed in January, Congress still needs to pass legislation repealing the SGR or otherwise preventing the 21.2 percent cut scheduled to go into effect on March 1.
