Program Description
The HRS Mid-Career Leadership Program is a year-long, cohort-based leadership development experience designed for electrophysiologists preparing to step into expanded leadership roles within healthcare systems, academic medicine, research enterprises, industry, and professional societies.
This program supports physicians at a pivotal stage in their careers, 8–20 years post-training, when many are navigating advancement opportunities, administrative responsibilities, and long-term career strategy. Through a combination of in-person sessions, live virtual learning, mentorship, and peer collaboration, participants strengthen their leadership capabilities and develop the strategic perspective needed to lead within complex healthcare environments.
Participants explore topics such as healthcare economics, clinical operations, executive communication, innovation, and career advancement. The program also provides opportunities to build meaningful relationships with peers and senior leaders across the electrophysiology community.
By strengthening leadership capacity within the field, the Mid-Career Leadership Program prepares participants to influence institutional strategy, lead multidisciplinary teams, advance innovation and research, and contribute to the future direction of electrophysiology.
