  • Advocate for evidence-based, guidelines-driven, quality health care and fair reimbursement to healthcare providers.
  • Advance the development and implementation of performance measures that lead to improved health outcomes for patients with heart rhythm disorders.
  • Collaborate with the American Medical Association, medical specialty societies, regulatory agencies, and manufacturers to improve access to treatments and appropriate specialty and sub-specialty care.

Clinical Resources

Authored and endorsed clinical documents provide three main components vital to advancements in the heart rhythm field: analysis, discussion of current issues, and suggestions for clinical application. 

Coding & Reimbursement

HRS manages a variety of aspects relating to the development or revision of CPT codes; recommended relative values and reimbursement rates; coverage for new technologies and revising coverage policies for existing services and procedures.

Safety Alerts

HRS works closely with our industry partners, domestic and global professional societies, and federal regulatory agencies to communicate safety concerns  with HRS members. 

IAC Cardiac EP Accreditation

HRS, PACES, and SICP partnered with the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) to develop the Cardiac EP Accreditation.

Health Information Technology/Interoperability

Since 2005, HRS has partnered with various stakeholders to develop EP-specific standards that can be used to facilitate interoperable EHR systems.
