With more than 25 years of experience in cardiology and electrophysiology, Ms. Stephenson serves as Chief Engagement & Enrichment Officer at the Heart Rhythm Society (HRS), leading strategy and teams focused on member education and leadership programs, corporate and strategic partnerships, and new product development.
Before joining HRS, Ms. Stephenson served as Senior Director of Global Partnerships & Strategy at the American College of Cardiology (ACC). In that role, she built support for a broad range of innovative programs designed to transform cardiovascular care, strengthen adoption of clinical guidelines, advance health equity, and foster actionable knowledge.
Prior to her time at ACC, Ms. Stephenson spent 20 years in the medical device industry, including leadership roles at Medtronic and Boston Scientific across medical education, clinical affairs, and sales. Earlier in her career, she served as a critical care nurse in the CVICU, emergency department, cath lab, and EP lab.
Ms. Stephenson earned her MBA from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, where she also received the Faculty Award. She earned her BSN from Northwestern State University and her RN degree from Christ Hospital School of Nursing in Cincinnati, OH. A proud HRS member, she has attended more than 15 Heart Rhythm annual meetings and passed the NASPE exam in 2000. Julie lives in Charlotte, NC, with her husband and has grown daughters.
