June 26, 2000 — These guidelines present an approach to the use of amiodarone in clinical practice.
They review the indications for the use of amiodarone and method of initiation therapy, suggest strategies for follow-up of patients receiving amiodarone, and outline the adverse effects of the therapy.
This document has been retired and replaced by A Practical Guide for Clinicians Who Treat Patients with Amiodarone: 2007.
