In this episode, #HRStv host Jessica Mullenix NP, CEPS, FHRS is joined by Cheyenne Beach, MD, FHRS, CEPS-P, and Iqbal El-Assaad, MD, CEPS-P to explore key findings from their recent multicenter study on recurrence risk after catheter ablation for Wolff-Parkinson-White (WPW) syndrome in pediatric patients. Their research, which analyzed 315 patients, revealed a 16.8% recurrence rate—with significantly higher risk among those with congenital heart disease, particularly Ebstein anomaly, and female patients. The study highlights the crucial need for long-term follow-up in specific pediatric populations.
