Letters of Endorsement for Research Study Request

Continuing its commitment to driving meaningful and lasting change in the field of electrophysiology, the Heart Rhythm Society (HRS) offers its members letters of endorsement for basic, translational, and clinical research studies that advance the understanding and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias.
Benefits of HRS Endorsement:
• Demonstrates that the project aligns with HRS’s mission to improve patient care through excellence in research, education, and clinical practice.
• Enhances the credibility, visibility, and impact of the research within the scientific and clinical community.
• Strengthens funding applications by showing that the proposal has been reviewed and supported by the leading professional society in electrophysiology.
Researchers and sponsors often see endorsement as a valuable step in ensuring the success and impact of their research studies.
Application Process
Completed online applications include:
- Research Study/Grant Application Title
- Principal Investigator(s) and Affiliated Orgs
- Project Start and End Dates
- Study Design, Study Aims
- Study Significance
- Project Alignment with HRS Mission
- Investigative Team Experience
- Three Reference Citations
- Project Alignment with HRS Mission
All components of the application, including all online fields and required attachments, must be completed and submitted via the online submission form. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.
Process
Each application is reviewed by 2 or 3 non-conflicted HRS Research Committee members. Each application will be evaluated based on:
· The study aims, methodology and validity.
· The study’s significance to the Field of EP.
· Its potential impact on heart rhythm care.
If approved, the endorsement letter will be sent to the Heart Rhythm Society’s President for approval and signature.
