Co-Sponsored

Co-sponsored programs are programs hosted in the United States, that offer CME or CE credits to program participants. The applicant is responsible for securing CME Category 1 Credits or Continuing Education Units in Nursing; HRS will not serve as the accredited Provider for Co-Sponsored programs.

The applicant is responsible for developing content, selecting faculty and ensuring the faculty meet their commitment to the activity. Additionally the applicant must ensure that the activity meets all ACCME and accreditation guidelines. All applications will be reviewed by the Director of CME Programs and Services and the CME Compliance Subcommittee.

It is the policy of the Heart Rhythm Society to ensure balance, independent objectivity, and scientific rigor in all its certified educational activities.

The overall objective for the HRS Co-Sponsorship Program is to increase, strengthen and enhance the credibility of your event among your target audience and help the bottom-line management of your program by increasing registration to your event.

CME category 1 credits are designated by an accredited provider other than the HRS. If a co-sponsorship is approved, then HRS requires that all aspects of the program be in compliance with the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) Essential Areas, Elements, and Policies. The accredited provider designating the CME credits must ensure that those requirements are met.
