HRS Educational Framework for Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology

HRS continually strives to provide all those who study heart rhythm disorders and care for arrhythmia patients easy access to the most relevant, up-to-date, and all-inclusive content. Learner feedback revealed a strong desire for HRS content to be more easily identified by topic areas. The new educational framework directly addresses this feedback, which will be applied to all content across each HRS learning experience, from our annual meeting to Heart Rhythm 365 and everything in between. Moving forward, all newly developed content will be tagged under this framework from the start. Existing content will also be tagged accordingly.

Improved Learner Experience

With more frequent evaluations and an increased need for ongoing study, this educational framework will serve as a helpful tool to identify knowledge gaps while providing resources to address these gaps. Learners can now have a more specific and detailed approach to his/her ongoing learning strategy.

Competencies range from general concepts to brady- and tachyarrhythmias and other arrhythmia syndromes. Pathophysiology, testing, diagnosis, and treatment is covered through this wide range of educational framework. By tagging all content, contributors are supporting the ability of their peers to search for key topics of interest and enhance their overall HRS learning experience.
